Congratulations to our Spring 2019 Grant Recipients!
We are excited to announce that the District 112 Foundation was honored to award $9,500 during the Spring 2019 grant cycle. When combined with the grants awarded in the Fall 2018 cycle, the Foundation awarded more than $25,000 to schools and educators this school year.
This spring, the Foundation awarded 9 grants, impacting more than 2600 students and 257 educators in 10 schools across the district! Thanks to the generous donations received from our local community, funded projects included the following projects:

This spring, the Foundation awarded 9 grants, impacting more than 2600 students and 257 educators in 10 schools across the district! Thanks to the generous donations received from our local community, funded projects included the following projects:
- Enhancing the Makerspace at Pioneer Ridge Middle School's HUB to promote creativity and problem solving in students, while incorporating play.
- Creating a core vocabulary board on an elementary playground that will allow non-verbal students to connect and interact with their verbal peers.
- Transforming an existing outdoor green space at Chaska Middle School West into a flexible outdoor learning environment.
- Expanding Chanhassen Elementary's garden to be larger and more inclusive with the addition of a raised garden bed.
- Providing a field trip for 3rd graders to attend a Virtual Reality lab in St. Louis Park, encouraging them to view the world through a different "lens."
- Incorporating a growth mindset into the curriculum for elementary students by integrating yoga, journaling, and positive affirmations.
- Acquiring a Cricut for use by Chanhassen High School students completing poster boards and other school projects.
- Establishing a calculator "library" at Chaska High School so all students will have access to a calculator for math and science classes, as well as standardized testing.
- Provide a leveled library at Kinder Academy to foster a love of non-fiction reading in students of varying reading levels.
